Show Us Your Green – Just in time for Earth Day!

Earth Day 2015 Wednesday April, 22nd

Want to make an impact this Earth Day but don’t have time to plant a tree? Plant your eco-seed funding on-line with three women-owned projects that are making an impact on the community and the planet.  From eco mentors for youth, and earth-friendly laundry soap, to a web series that helps urbanites grow their own food, by funding these projects you can put your money where your heart is.

Bay Area Youth Tours: Experiences That Transform

Leading youth to a greener future, the Bay Area Youth Tours Indiegogo campaign will help to fund a tour of sustainable enterprises and an eco retreat on a 130 acre farm in Sonoma County, where youth will get to experience eco-agriculture innovation first hand. These tours are designed to connect underrepresented youth to social entrepreneurs and environmental role models with the goal of inspiring them to find resources to build their own sustainable enterprise.

The Urban Homesteader: Turn your urban space into a modern homestead.

The Urban Homesteader teaches urban folks how to take sustainability into their own hands through a fun, lively web series, how-to materials, and hands-on workshops with local experts.  From growing food, and raising chickens, to making pickles and capturing greywater….The Urban Homesteader covers all aspects of homesteading and DIY projects. Two established brands support this project – Whole Foods Market and the publisher of Mother Earth News, and an Emmy Award-winning team is ready to start production.  Donate to the campaign to launch the first two webisodes — once you get a taste of your own homemade pickles there’s no turning back!

Puretergent: 50 Shades of Grey Water

Puretergent(‘pure’ not ‘de’-tergent) is Oakland’s hometown botanical greywater-safe laundry formula. Puretergent comes in a nifty pouch that uses 75% less plastic and dispenses laundry soap on tap! Their pouch reclaim program leaves ZERO plastic waste, with every drop of wash water reusable. You save 4500 gallons of water annually for your landscaping. Support Puretergent’s Indiegogo campaign and help to fund their pouch reclaim program and lose all the negative plastic karma weight from your clean clothes.

Helping mother earth is just a click away. These campaigns are all part of a group of earth friendly campaigns featured by Project5’s Indiegogo partner page.

So check out the amazing perks, make a donation, and feel good about where you spend your green this Earth Day.
